Shop 'til You Drop
From well-known retailers to fashion-forward boutiques, the Richmond Region is full of great buys. Short Pump Town Center features Nordstrom, Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel while Stony Point Fashion Park specializes in high-end retailers such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Louis Vuitton. These outdoor shopping centers, combined with the Region's additional five malls, make the Region a shoppers' paradise.

For locally owned shops, check out the Mile of Style Carytown, nine blocks of boutiques, cafs, quirky stores and home furnishings. The Shops of Libbie & Grove On the Avenues offers fashions, dcor and one-of-a-kind gifts. Nearly every neighborhood in the Richmond Region is flanked by shopping areas. From River Road to the River District, you'll need several trips to cover them all.


Martinis and Manicures
Partying and pampering. What more could a girl want? Spend your days relaxing at the Richmond Region's posh spas and your evenings toasting at a trendy nightspot. Check out the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa at Short Pump Town Center, enjoy pampering a local favorite, Nesbit, in the Fan or stop by Salon del Sol, an Aveda spa in Chesterfield. There's a spa to suit you in almost every corner of the Richmond Region.

Once you're relaxed and ready to hit the town, there are plenty of options for a girls' night out. Raise your glass at Martini Kitchen and Bubble Bar, home to 85 martinis and dozens of champagne cocktails. Head downtown to Bank, a cool, modern night spot in a renovated turn-of-the-century bank. Catch a show at one of the newest music venues, Toad's Place or The National theater. Just chill or hit the dance floor at the Region's newest nightspot, Infuzion Lounge, home to an ice bar, dance club and lounge. The nights aren't long enough for everything there is to do.


Culture Club
For a sense of the Richmond Region's past, hop in the car, put the top down and cruise down Monument Avenue. You'll be blown away by the stunning architecture. Just around the corner, stop in the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts to see some major bling the largest collection of Faberg eggs outside of Russia. Head over to Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden to take in some natural beauty. Don't miss the orchids in the conservatory.

If fashion's your bag, stop in at the Valentine Richmond History Center to see the collection of clothing and textiles that spans the ages. The center's garden caf makes a lovely lunch spot. Stop by The Jefferson Hotel for afternoon tea in the Region's landmark five-star, five-diamond hotel. When evening arrives, the cultural choices run the gamut. The Richmond Ballets studio series offers an intimate experience. The Landmark Theater hosts large-scale productions from Broadway shows to concerts. There's the Symphony, Opera, gallery walks and so much more. What are you waiting for?

Epicureans and comfort-food fans alike will fall in love with the Richmond Region. Here you'll find everything from five-star to Five Guys Burgers and Fries. CanCan Brasserie offers French cuisine, fine wines and a festive setting in Carytown. Julep's presents nouveau-Southern cuisine. And Croaker's Spot serves up down-home fish boats with cornbread. International foods from all over the world make the Richmond Region's dining scene a veritable melting pot. You could spend a week just sampling the food.

Fabulous wine can also be enjoyed around the Region. You'll find several shops and restaurants that specialize in Virginia wines. River City Cellars in Carytown, for instance, offers tastings and a knowledgeable, friendly staff. Wine Lovers, Strawberry Street Vineyard, Belle Cuisine, Private Stock Cigar & Wine, Once Upon a Vine and The Wine Cellar, to name a few, are all great places to find an assortment of wines sure to please even the most discriminating oenophiles. The James River Wine Festival and Carytown Wine Festival feature the best wines Virginia has to offer.

If you want to get even closer to the vine, visit James River Cellars Winery, a family-owned and operated vineyard that produces 13 varieties from Virginia-grown grapes. South of the James River in Chesterfield County is Virginia's smallest farm winery, Woodland Vineyard. So raise your glass, ladies, and toast the wide array of all the culinary delights you'll find in the Richmond Region.
