Welcome to the Richmond Region!

Before you begin exploring our historic and dynamic Region, take a moment to stop by one of our Visitor Centers. Our main Visitor Center is located at 405 North 3rd Street on the first floor of the Greater Richmond Convention Center. Airport travelers can also visit our airport Visitor Center, located on the lower level near the baggage claim area.

At either location our staff is available to assist you with tour suggestions, regional maps, hotel reservations and Jamestown 400th Anniversary information. Although we hope you'll make your hotel reservations in advance, if you need same-day reservations, we can help you find a room and special discounts based on hotel availability. When your trip is over, be sure to take home a piece of the Richmond Region with one of the numerous items available in our main location's gift shop. Special featured items can be purchased online as well.

Main location - 405 North 3rd Street - 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily (9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Memorial Day through Labor Day)
Airport location - 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday

Directions to Main Visitor Center

From the West & North (I-95 S & I-64 E): Take exit #75 (3rd Street) and proceed through three intersections. The Greater Richmond Convention Center is on the left. We are located on the first floor of the Greater Richmond Convention Center. Enter the Convention Center through any of the doors on 3rd Street.

From the East (I-64 W): Take exit #190 (5th Street), and turn right on Jackson Street. Travel two blocks then turn left on 3rd Street. Travel two more blocks to Marshall Street, and the Greater Richmond Convention Center is on the left. We are located on the first floor of the Greater Richmond Convention Center. Enter the Convention Center through any of the doors on 3rd Street.

From the South: (I-95 N): Take exit #74C (Broad Street W), turn right on Broad Street then travel approximately 10 blocks to 3rd Street. Turn right on 3rd Street, and go one block to Marshall Street. The Greater Richmond Convention Center is on the right. We are located on the first floor of the Greater Richmond Convention Center. Enter the Convention Center through any of the doors on 3rd Street.

Parking: Please use the parking deck on the corner of 3rd and Marshall streets or the 20-minute parking spaces located on 3rd Street near the corner of 3rd and Leigh streets. (If traveling south on 3rd street a U-turn is allowed to access the 20-minute parking spaces.)
